Information you voluntarily post in a community area may be visible to other community members. Do not post information you do not want other members to see.
6. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
As of this policy's effective date, we do not use third-party advertising pixels for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we begin using advertising technologies that legally constitute the sale or sharing of personal information under California law, we will update this policy and provide any privacy choices required by applicable law.
Where required by applicable law, we will treat a legally recognized opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information associated with the browser or device sending the signal.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, and device identifiers, to operate and secure our websites, remember preferences, process purchases, provide member access, understand website performance, and improve our services.
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device. Some cookies expire when you close your browser, while others remain until they expire or are deleted. Cookies may be placed directly by us or by service providers whose technology is used on our websites.
Categories of Cookies
- Essential cookies: Required for website security, checkout, payment processing, account access, session management, fraud prevention, and remembering your cookie choices. These cookies cannot be disabled through our cookie settings.
- Functional cookies: Support enhanced features such as saved preferences, scheduling, embedded media, forms, and customer-support tools.
- Analytics and performance cookies: Help us understand website traffic, page usage, errors, and performance so we can improve our websites and services.
- Advertising cookies: If enabled in the future, these cookies may measure advertising campaigns, create audiences, or support advertising based on activity across websites or services.
Your Cookie Choices
When our cookie banner appears, you may accept all cookies, accept only essential cookies, or customize the available categories. If you reject non-essential cookies, only cookies required for website functionality will be stored through the consent system.
Your selection applies to the browser and device on which it is made. If you clear your cookies or use another browser or device, you may be asked to make your selection again.
You may also block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Disabling cookies may prevent checkout, login, video, scheduling, personalization, or other website features from working properly.
Third-Party Technologies
Third parties that provide services such as website hosting, customer relationship management, payment processing, scheduling, video hosting, communications, security, or analytics may place or access cookies through our websites. Their handling of information is also governed by their respective privacy policies.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to every Do Not Track signal, our websites do not currently respond to general Do Not Track signals. This is different from legally recognized opt-out preference signals, which we process where required by applicable law.
8. California Privacy Rights
California residents may have certain privacy rights under applicable law. To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies to Empire Within LLC, these rights may include:
- Right to know: Request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, used, or disclosed.
- Right to delete: Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out: Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information if such activity occurs.
- Right to limit: Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable.
- Right to non-discrimination: Exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.
To submit a privacy request, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request" and describe the right you wish to exercise.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Depending on the request, we may ask you to confirm information reasonably related to your prior interactions with us. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf when legally permitted, but we may require proof of the agent's authority and verification of your identity.
We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Some information may be exempt from a request, including information we must retain for legal, security, payment, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping purposes.
9. Marketing Communications
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link included in the email or contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may continue sending non-promotional communications concerning purchases, subscriptions, appointments, account security, policy changes, or services you requested.
If you receive text messages from us, you may opt out by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of marketing text messages does not cancel a purchase, coaching appointment, membership, or subscription.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining accounts, processing transactions, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and enforcing agreements.
Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why it was collected. For example, transaction and tax records may be retained for legally required accounting periods, while account and coaching information may be retained while the relationship remains active and for a reasonable period afterward.
Cookie retention periods vary based on the cookie's purpose and the provider that places it. Session cookies generally expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiration date or until you delete them.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No website, platform, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our websites and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact [email protected].
13. External Links and Third-Party Services
Our websites may contain links to third-party websites, applications, videos, payment pages, scheduling tools, or social-media platforms. We do not control the privacy, security, or data practices of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing personal information to them.
14. Visitors Outside the United States
Empire Within Academy is based in the United States. If you access our services from another country, your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy & Cookie Policy when our services, technology, service providers, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
If required by law, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent before a material change takes effect.
